National Team Manager – Pistol
Position Summary
USA Shooting is entering a critical phase for its Pistol Program. As we prepare to host the world at the LA 2028 Olympic Games, we are seeking a bold and visionary National Pistol Team Manager to lead a reinvention of our approach to talent development, athlete support, and international performance. We need a builder, a systems thinker, someone who can assess capabilities, lead transformational change, and establish a sustainable pipeline that returns Team USA to global prominence in pistol.
This role combines high-performance strategy, athlete development, and operational execution, with a mandate to rebuild for long-term Olympic success.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead National Pistol Program with a comprehensive plan focused on LA 2028 and long-term competitive viability, including athlete identification and development strategies to rebuild the talent pipeline
- Driveculture reset to align to a high-performance ethos of excellence, accountability, and unity
- Leadall aspects of pistol program, including budgeting, athlete support, staff coordination, and logistics
- Serveas team leader and manager at key domestic and international competitions
- Collaboratewith high performance and external experts to improve selection and talent pathways
- Cultivategrassroots partnerships and club engagement to strengthen early-stage athlete recruitment
- Provideindividualized technical, mental, and development guidance for elite and emerging athletes
- Ensure compliance with SafeSport and Ted Stevens Olympic & Amateur Sports Act requirement
Required Qualifications
- Comprehensiveunderstanding of pistol disciplines
- Strongbudget and financial management skills
- Excellencein stakeholder communication and engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstratedsuccess building programs from the ground up or turning around underperforming teams
- Experiencecoaching or managing athletes at the international level
Position Details
- Location:Colorado Springs, CO or Virtual (consideration for remote work accommodations)
- Travel:Extensive domestic and international travel required, including weekends
- FLSAStatus: Exempt
Compensation & Benefits
- Thecompensation package for this position includes a competitive salary (range $75,000 – $90,000) commensurate with experience and qualifications alongside a comprehensive benefits package, including:
